As the title shows, we were not happy with the way Ali acted on coming back to the show tonight!  What a snot and..........can you believe Jillian????  So much for a family show!  I was really disappointed in the way she swore knowing that this was being taped.  I feel that she could have made her point without swearing.  I'm not a prude as I have a bad trucker mouth myself but I'm not on TV or being looked up upon for support and guidance....  Mike ended up making fun of her (Jillian) when Britney fell below the yellow line. Mocking her.  As for Ali, she made it clear that she was NOT going to be part of a team even though each was on their own, they still trained as a team and she really alienated herself from the others.  My opinions of certain people have really changed and even though Jillian doesn't get a "F" what I think, I think I'll cancel my subscription with her site.

Lots of news!!!!  First, our gas dryer's buzzer saved our lives Saturday night.  I was awoken to our dryer's buzzer going off at 12:30am from a Nyquil induced sleep to find our house full of gas!!!  Some how one of the burners on our gas stove had turned on without the pilot going off to ignite it and when I awoke and opened our bedroom door, the gas hit me like a ton of bricks in the face.  Long story short, thank God the wind was howling hard and I opened the house for hours to air it out.  It was freezing in that house but who cares, we were alive.  My youngest daughter would have been the first to die as her room is right off the kitchen and her door was wide open to this.  Thankfully, we are all alright but OMG was I scared.  I opened every window and door and let the wind air us out and the gusts were doing a great job because we were in a wind advisory too because they thought there might have been even micro-bursts too.

 

This proves that there is a God and he watches over us!!!!   All 4 of us should have been dead or very very sick at the least.  You should have seen the shot of Nyquil I took to put me to sleep too!!!  I only slept 2 hours before the buzzer woke me.  I still can't believe it.

 

Mike's flu turned into broncitus and he's still not back to work.  I worked my tail off last week so I was only able to get to the gym 1 day last week and it killed me not to go.  I did go last night to my groove class and I was a giant sweatball when I was done but OMG, did I feel good!  I'm going Wednesday when Angela's in girl scouts.

 

I had the beginnings of a cold and don't know what knocked it out of me, the Nyquil or the gas or the cold wind whipping through my house Saturday night or maybe a combination of all it but I'm ready to get back on track with the exercise.

 

I have been making some of the recipes from the Biggest Loser Cookbook and they are pretty easy.  I've only lost a little bit and so has Mike but I know when we get back in the gym full time, this will change.  Just need to get him well now.  I can't believe how much exercise really contributes to weight loss!!!!

I started glancing through them when I finally got home from work with Angela in tow at 7pm.  Looks like I'll be reading in bed if I decide to sleep there tonight.  Still not sure where I'm sleeping yet and here is why.........

Mike will be losing some weight this week against his will.  He was fine yesterday when we went to the casino but didn't make work this morning, hit the doctor's at 1pm where he got a gold star for having the highest temperature of the day in the office.  102.4 and a full blown terrible flu.  I told Mike to "SELL" at 103 but I don't think he appreciated my humor.  So our house is in quarrentine, no gym tonight because I had to work late with my 9 year old in tow, she had BK for dinner from her brother after he picked her up at daycare and brought her to me....don't ask what I had because I still haven't and it's almost 9pm but I did eat a banana around 5:30pm after a turkey sandwich from Cracker Barrel when I went to lunch with my son..oh, no steak fries, got the beef veggie soup instead with a water to Michael's bacon cheeseburger, steak fries and raspberry sweetened iced tea. (Oh to be 18 again and eat everything in site) This is NOT going to be a fun week at the Salvatore's homestead.  My hands are going to be raw from washing them so much now so I don't get the flu too.  I had my shot but they say this flu isn't from that strain and it has no effect on it.....great, just what I need.  I just pray my 9 year old doesn't get it because kids are dying from it around here.  Well guess I'm going to get my pillow and blanket out as the recliner is calling my name tonight I think.
