    Hit the gym last night!!!!

    Well I'm finally out of my funk that I was in and Mike and I hit the gym last night.  OMG was it hard!!!!  We couldn't believe how hard it was to do the circuit after only being gone from the gym a week and 1/2.  My arms were like jelly after doing the machines and so were Mike's.  We decided that we need to mix up the cardio so he did the bike last night and I walked at 3.9 mph on the tred.  Friday I'm going to add an incline to it to see how tough that is.  Mike & I hit the scales early this week just to see where we were.  I'm pretty happy with both!!!  Mike is 268.2 and I hit 158.0!!!!  Now if we can keep going on the weight loss!!  Smile  Sorry about being so cranky in the last few posts, don't know if it was PMS or just being a be-otch but Mike is glad to have his wife back!!!

    Finally feeling better

    Well it took until today to finally have the queeziness stop for me.  I'm sorry to say but I haven't hit the gym yet this week because of it and God forbid, Mike go to the gym without me.  I'm very disappointed and deptressed about many things this week.  I have gotten on the scale and I've lost all the weight I put on during the cruise, but of course, I was still so sick to my stomach that I hardly ate anything all week.  My son is still queezy though.  I don't think I will ever go on another cruise, I hate having to pay for the trip and then everything else like soda or Ben & Jerry's ice cream.  I'll take an all-inclusive any day.  I'm also a little disappointed in Mike, yes he had sherbert at dinner but was that to offset the 3 rolls with his meal?  I think he could have made a few better choices with the amount of Coronna's or all the bread he ate.  Now he's got some work ahead of him and it's going to take me pushing him for him to do it.  I guess we aren't on the same page right now.  Boy, am I in a mood!!!!!  Sorry everyone.  Sad

    Mike's weigh in

    Well, the Coronna's did go down smooth and his weight did go up.  Mike put on 6lbs for cruise week but he's pushing me to go to the gym tonight.  I however am still dizzy and queezy.  I am going through withdrawls from the patch I was wearing now and I feel just like I did when I was seasick.  I slept most of yesterday away and now trying to work is fun!!!!  Sick  We still have not watched the Biggest Loser that we taped from last week so I'm dying to find out who got voted off.

    Back from the cruise!!

    We went from 85 degrees to a foot of new snow!!  As for the cruise, it was OK, just OK.  Spent the entire time queezy even though I had the patch.  Yuck.  People we talked to said it was because we were on a smaller ship and could feel every roll and wave of the ocean.  Even Mike was queezy at times and he usually has a high tolerance for stuff like this.  The food left something to be desired.  We expected a higher end type of food, like lobster or better cuts of beef.  2 nights in a row they had turkey on the menu.  We were told that it was because it was only a 6 day cruise and you get better food on longer cruises.  Because of my tummy, I did have bread with my dinner to help settle it but we both did salads along with our meal.  For dessert I was sooooooooo good and got the sugar free ones like s/f key lime pie or one night was a cream puff shaped as a swan with s/f whipped cream.  Mike had sherbet or s/f ice cream with strawberries.  Mike & I walked almost every morning on the track, but even that was hard because of the rolling of the ship.  I would go as long as my tummy could handle it.  We did do the gym there, see the pictures on our space but on days we had excursions we had to be off the ship early to make our shuttles.  However on the excursions, we walked and walked and walked which was great!  I had forgotten how hard it is to walk in the sand at the beach and boy did we walk.  Mike, Michael & Angela took a paddle boat out and he said he felt like he was on a bike in the gym, peddling his heart out and going no where.  It was funny, they kept going in circles!!!  Tongue out  When we got to Progreso, we walked a lot from Mayan ruin to Mayan ruin.  We even climbed up one of the pyramids, totally cool!!!!  The view from the top was awesome!!  Ever see the movie "Apocalipto"?  So true to what we saw.
     
    Back on board, we did eat every few hours but we did up our fruit and salads a lot but did hit the late night pizza buffet when we were awake.  Angela would fall asleep on a lounge chair while Mike & I swam in the adult pool.  We didn't do as much as we would have liked because of having a 9 year old with us, but we still had fun.
     
    I weighed in this morning and I'm happy with my results.  With all I ate, I weighed in at 160.4.  I expected it to be much higher.  When Mike wakes up, I'll have him weigh in and see how he did.  I think he'll be much higher as the Corrona's were going down very smooth for him all through the cruise.
     
    We both know it's back to the gyms and our healthy eatting now.  No more 11pm pizza and hotdogs....Pizza

    WTF!!!!!!!

    OK, I am VERY upset.  I realize that we didn't hit the gym as much this week with the cruise coming and all but OMG, for each of us to go up in weight and me 2lbs!!!!  I'm pissed.  You know, I thought my weight slow down was because of being a "woman" during the month but that is over and I really expected to drop a few pounds more because of it but i went up!!  WTF!!!!!  Mike didn't want to go to the gym yesterday (Saturday) but I made him go, I felt like crap for making him but we worked out HARD!!!!  I'm devastated!!!  What am I doing wrong????  I had 2 eggs for breakfast yesterday, hit the gym, bowl of Special K for late lunch, his mom & dad's for dinner with salad, 1 stuffed shell and a piece of chicken with a very small piece of cake for dessert.  I didn't drink anything, just water so WTF?????  Well, the house is all still sleeping so looks like i'm changing my clothes and going to the gym myself.  I am sooooooooo upset I could cry right now.

    HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

    Trip is getting closer, we were bad tonight and went to dinner instead of the gym but made a game plan for the cruise.  We are hitting the gym on the boat every morning before the kids gets up even if it's for 30-45 minutes of cardio.  We also plan on doing a lot of swimming too.  They have a track and we're going to take an afternoon walk too.  We don't plan on starving ourselves on our cruise but I know we've made a pack not to eat bread with the meal and really up veggies and fruit every chance we get, but I do plan on having my dessert if it's something I like.  Mike & I found that since we've started eating healthier and more often, we can't eat as much as we're used to.  Feels good not to sit at the table and keep chowwing down until you feel sick just because it's there!!!  Time to pack some more and going to do some weights and floor exercises before hitting the hay.  Nite all!!  Wink

    Feb13th update

    I FOUND ANGELA'S DRESS!!!!  WOOOHOOO  Party  Less than 5 days to the cruise and yes.....I got on the scale this morning and it read 157!!!!  Guess that's what stress does to me, but I found my daughter's dress for the cruise!!!  Tonight, we were supposed to hit the gym but we really needed to go shopping and get the last minutes stuff bought and I finally started packing, so it looks like my Valentine's Day will be spent at the gym.  No problem!!  I love going and working out.  I feel so good after my cardio that sometimes I just want to do more but I need to go easy on the old ticker.  We have a new trainer at the gym named Danielle and I've been putting her through her paces.  Thank God she's a Red Sox fan!!!  Our other trainer is a Yankee fan but Todd has his looks going for him so I overlook that...ha ha ha.  Now before I get all kinds of comments..he he he...he went to school with my oldest daughter so he seems like one of my kids plus I'm always picking his brain about diet, exercise and all that stuff.  Can't wait for Mike to weigh in.  He tried some clothes on from last year's trip and they fit him better this year than last year.  Time for bed, good night all.

    Feb 9th weigh in

    Well, we're back down to where we were the week before!!!  Don't think I can lose what I need to get to 155 by the cruise, but I'm going to try.  I will probably lose it on stress alone.  1 week for the cruise and I'm in a panic.  Still can't find my daughter's dress that I bought at Xmas, tore the house APART!!!  Can't get my son to get his stuff together so I can wash what needs to be washed and press what I need to press.  Can't get my husband to get his suit out so I can take it to the cleaners....need I say more?  Still need to the hit the gym M-W-F this week, my daughter needs my help all day Saturday again for her new house and now Mike's mom wants us over for dinner Saturday night......AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH  Surprised  I'll never get everything done, oh and let's not mention work or my cold or being a "woman" at this time of month......I swear, I'm forgetting the world once I get on that plane to Tampa.

    Feb 7 Update

    (Thursday) Mike & I hit the gym last night.  I really wanted to hit it hard but within 6 hours, I went from a scratchy throat to a full blown head cold by gym time.  Talk about sucking???  OMG, I was so tired and achy too so I did my circuit, and only 20 minutes on the eliptical before hitting the hot tub in hopes of opening me up so I could breath.  OK, that last a whopping 15 minutes and I was back to the faucet where I've been all day today.  Even Tylenol Severe Cold isn't touching this.  Let's hope I can get a good night's sleep tonight so I can hit the gym tomorrow.  (Friday) - Wrong!!!!  Worse today!!!  Mike called and asked if I was up to the gym tonight, told him sure!!!  I'll be in the hot tub soaking while he's working out.
     
    Mike & I have discussed at great lengths his calories.  I keep telling him that he needs to eat more, especially for a guy his size.  We figure that he's eating less than 1500-1800 calories and that's why he's not losing like he was at first.  So we are working on upping them a little to see if he has any luck with that.  We're going to weigh in on Saturday so wish us luck, we really hope that we don't have another crappy week.

    Getting aggrivated

    Trying to update this website is started in get me a tad bit frustrated with the weight charts!!!  Grrr  Angry  I keep puting in our new weights but they keep showing our old ones and it's not like I want anyone to see that Mike & I put ON WEIGHT last week either but I'm keeping it honest. 
     
    UPDATE ON THE ENERGY WALL
    Thanks to all of you who either messaged me or responded to my blog, THANK YOU!!!  I even went as far as emailing efitness.com for advise and come to find out, this is also another reason why Mike & I put weight ON!!!  Too few calories for us!!!  We upped our calorie intake and our energy has returned and now let's see how our weight does. 
     
    It's crunch time for the cruise too.  Less than 2 weeks away and I bought the most sexiest black gown that I can't wait to wear, now I just hope I doesn't embarass my 18 yr old son too much.  Hot  You'll all see pics when we get back!!!  Now if I can just find Angela's dress that I got her at Xmas time, my stress will ease up a bit.
     
    GYM UPDATE
    Couldn't hit it this weekend, Mike worked 7 days and my oldest daughter is moving into a new house and needed our help to get it ready to move in.  So we painted and painted and painted.... and Mike showed up after work to help out tearing paneling down.  I'd like to think all the bending, streching and lifting was enough of a workout for us.  Same thing is going on for this coming weekend too, so it looks like we'll just be going to the gym 3 days this week.  Went last night to my Power Groove class and added a circuit in before hitting the hot tub to relax.  Little stiff this morning.  Going to do some floor exercises tonight while watching Biggest Loser because that gown is HOT and I want to look my best in it!!!
